Karl French Literary Agency acts as an agent and an editor for a select roster of writers, focussing on commercial fiction and non-fiction. We have more than 30 years of experience working with publishers, literary agencies and writers.
Our client list includes among many others: Bloomsbury Publishing; Faber and Faber; Virgin Books; Harper Collins; Simon and Schuster; The Ebury Press; Indigo Press; The Literary Consultancy; Foruli Books; Aitken, Alexander; Miranda Seymour; Donald McRae; Lance Price; Bill Bruford; Lance Price; Andy Martin.
We have helped everyone from first-time writers to established authors, working directly with them and also with small and large publishing houses. We are dedicated to the task of improving and realising the potential of all the books on which we work.
We have been involved with books exploring family life and business life, football, food, politics, lifestyle, meditation, diet, running, history and sport, popular and classical music, artificial intelligence and films, criticism, lifestyle, art and wine, true crime and survival against the odds, theatre and revolution, war and philosophy, algorithms and mental health, large-scale drug dealing, history from the American Civil War to the Kindertransport, from the Boer War to the Iranian revolution, films from Easy Riders to Raging Bulls, everything from Abba to Zen.
Karl French lives in London, spends arguably too much time thinking about movies, books, music, football and food, and wakes up every day looking forward to being inspired by quality, meaningful writing that makes the reader sit up, be entertained, think and learn as they turn the pages.
